Triacetate (TA)

Triacetate (TA) has similar properties to acetate but is much more heat resistant. Triacetate is made from cellulose whose fibres have been altered by chemical processes. Triacetate is also called artificial silk because of its silk-like appearance. Due to many positive properties of the fabric made of triacetet, it is one of the most sought-after fabrics in the textile industry. Artificial silk is lighter than cotton, wool or linen, can be pleated well due to its good heat tolerance and creases much less. Triacetate is extremely comfortable to wear because it is supple, soft and smooth to the touch. Fabrics made of triacetate dry quickly and are elastic. In the clothing industry, fabrics made of triacetate are mostly used to make skirts, blouses, trousers and dresses. It can also be sewn into jackets, coats and garments as a lining fabric. Because of its positive properties, its easy-care handling, ease of sewing, high wearing comfort and noble appearance, triacetate is very popular with buyers and users.
