Cotton (CO) is a durable and stretchable natural fabric made from plant fibres. Cotton is obtained from the seed hairs of the cotton plant, which belongs to the mallow family. Cotton is very absorbent and more tear-resistant when wet than when dry. In addition, this fabric is very skin-friendly and does not scratch. A low allergy potential and a certain heat resistance round off cotton and make it a durable and very easy-care fabric.
Wool (WO)
Wool (WO) is a natural animal fibre and often comes from sheep. Alternatively, wool can also be obtained from other animal species such as goats or alpacas. Depending on the origin, the properties and strength of the wool fibres can vary. Wool is one of the most functional natural materials and has a high resilience and elasticity. This property makes products made from wool almost wrinkle-free. Wool hardly absorbs dirt because the scales on the surface of the fibres almost literally repel dirt. Although viscose (CV) is a fibre produced by a chemical process that looks very similar to cotton, it would not be entirely correct to describe it as a purely synthetic fibre, as it consists of natural cellulose. Viscose has a shiny and even appearance and is also very absorbent and moisture-regulating. It is breathable and has a cooling effect. This makes it pleasant to wear. Moreover, viscose is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. Since mainly natural means are used in its production, this fabric is sustainable and environmentally friendly at the same time.
